New Carpet Installation Checklist

 

Make sure you use this checklist when the installer arrives and when the installer is finished. Do a walkthrough with the installer and inspect the finished carpet job to be sure everything is done to your satisfaction. Pay the final bill only when you are completely satisfied.

 

 

Before installation begins:

  • Is the carpet the correct color / style?                        Yes _____ No _____

  • Are there any visible carpet defects?                         Yes _____ No _____

  • Does the installer use a power stretcher?                  Yes _____ No _____

 

 

After installation is complete:

  • Do the seams look great? (No seam is invisible)         Yes _____ No_____

  • Are the seams in the proper locations?                        Yes _____ No_____

  • Is the carpet securely attached to the tackstrip?          Yes _____ No_____

  • Are the walls neatly tucked?                                          Yes _____ No_____

  • Is the carpet stretched in tightly?                                  Yes _____ No_____

  • Have all the scraps been cleaned up?                          Yes _____ No_____

  • Has the carpet been vacuumed?                                   Yes _____ No_____

  • Are all the doors put back into place?                            Yes _____ No_____

  • Have the floor vent covers been put back?                   Yes _____ No_____

 

 

If any answer is "NO" then withhold payment until the answer is YES!!!!
